Client Background
Our client for this project is a globally renowned company specialising in logistics automation.
This company are leaders in providing data driven and robotic solutions, setting new standards in warehouse automation.
Project Overview
The automated warehousing sector has continued to rapidly grow in Australia. Jarlam Electrics has been given the opportunity to work with some of the leaders in the sector and awarded a green field installation in Victoria which included the installation of pallet shuttles and pallet warehousing system.
Solution
Jarlam Electrics has extensive experience when working with OEM suppliers and understands the level of detail required to liaise with both on shore and offshore stakeholders and suppliers in order to deliver the system to both the OEM’s standard as well as Australian Standards.
One challenge relating to this project was the coordination of equipment arriving into the country via overseas freight and understanding the impact this would have vs the deadline of the project.
Jarlam Electrics Project management team coordinated all prewiring of shuttle conveyors to be staged, wired to Australian Standards and in turn commissioned prior to installation while institute the installation team prepared the electoral control cabinets, cable trays and power / control wiring.
Once Pallet Conveyors and lifts had been installed onsite this enabled the full team of experienced Electricians, Electrical Engineers and Apprentices’ to install and terminate all power and control cabling for the pallet storage system while the shuttles themselves where ready in waiting.
Our team on site were supported by our own Jarlam Australia site and workshop team who assisted in the mechanical installation of the project.
Benefits / Outcome
We are extremely proud of the outcomes / results that were achieved as part of this new electrical / Automation installation project.
Jarlam Electrics are proud to work closely with our partners and the relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful, timely and complete installation of the new equipment to the manufactures and Australian Standards.
